| Agriculture | RUM Rum is the most famous alcohol product of Cuba. Rum is made from distillation of products derived from sugarcane. Rum may be aged in barrels from which rum obtains delicate colors and flavor. Cuban rum may be aged up to 15 years. The most famous Cuban rum brand is Havana Club. The ownership of the Havana Club trademark is hotly contested in the World. Havana Club rum may not be imported or sold in the USA. Travelers from the USA who travel to Cuba under a Specific License from the USA Treasury may bring back up to $100 of Cuban rum every six months. The rum must be for personal use and not re-sold The famous rum drinks of Cuba are the daiquiri, the mojito and the pina colada. Prices for these rum drinks vary from $1.00 to $6.00 US dollars throughout Cuba. Higher prices are found in tourist areas. Lower prices are found in places where local Cuban and knowledgeable tourists gather.
