Gift items from Cuba for USA citizens are primarily limited to items that can legally be imported into the USA. These items include newspapers, magazines, art, music, literature as well as items made prior to the USA Embargo imposed upon Cuba.

Travelers who journey to Cuba under a US Treasury Specific License may return from Cuba with $100 worth of Cuban cigars or rum every 6 months. The rum and cigars must be for personal use and may not be re-sold.
